Pre-suit Demands.
Pre-suit is the process of hiring a lawyer to formally enforce or defend your legal rights in civil disputes. In pre-suit, we will help you answer these questions. Do I have a good case? Who do I sue? If I sue, is it worth it? Once we have answered these questions, we can guide you on the next steps to take. Claims can often be settled in pre-suit which saves the client both time and money. Once you have hired us to represent you, we can contact the party who is responsible for your damages and demand compensation. If the other party refuses to remedy the harm they have caused you, we can file a lawsuit on your behalf.
To help solve your legal dispute before filing a lawsuit, make sure that you document all communications with the other party which is the company or person against whom you have the legal disagreement. If possible, put all communications in writing and save both soft and hard copies. If you speak with the other party on the telephone, take detailed notes, including the date, time, the name of the person you spoke with, their position, and the information you both discussed. These notes and other written documentation of the dispute can be used as evidence in a lawsuit.
